We are looking forward to welcoming you to our MADGE Day (Mothers, Aunties, Daughters, Grandmothers and Every other important woman!) on Tuesday, 25th March, from 2:30 to 3:30 pm in both Nursery and Day Care.

This special event is an opportunity for you to spend time with your child in their learning environment, engage in fun activities together, and see first-hand what they have been exploring in Nursery.

Our book of the week continues to be "Peekaboo Morning" by Rachel Isadora. Through engaging storylines and interactive elements, "Peekaboo Morning" encourages children to explore their curiosity and develop early literacy skills in a fun and captivating way.

As we read and interact with this book, we'll be focusing on enhancing the children's ability to mimic sounds and actions, which plays a crucial role in language development and social skills.

Home learning: enjoying cooking together

Cooking with your child not only teaches life skills but also makes learning fun, offering lots of opportunities for bonding and discovery! Cooking helps develop motor skills, creativity, and introduces basic concepts of math, science, and nutrition. You could make simple things such as sandwiches, soup, fruit salad, pizza, or biscuits. â€‹â€‹

To support your child's social development at home, we suggest engaging them in activities that focus on the important skill of turn-taking. 

  • ​​Toy Sharing: Encourage turn-taking by sharing toys and taking turns choosing which toy to play with next.

Success Story of the Week!

We're delighted to share a wonderful success from this week! Our children in the Nursery have enthusiastically participated in making watercress soup, an activity that beautifully blends learning with fun in our Early Years setting.

This hands-on culinary adventure provided the children with an opportunity to explore new textures and tastes while developing crucial skills such as following instructions and working collaboratively. It was a joy to witness their excitement as they prepared and enjoyed the soup, showcasing their growing independence and curiosity.

We encourage you to ask your little chefs about their experience and perhaps even try making a simple recipe together at home!

Can we remind you to please label all your children's clothing, as we have a lot of lost property in our basket with name. The basket will be in the office for two weeks, then we will donate them to charity.
