Head of school message
As we come to the end of a busy and exciting Spring term, we’d like to take a moment to celebrate the wonderful experiences the children have enjoyed over the past few months.
The children have had fantastic opportunities to explore and learn beyond the nursery. Our library visits have been a great success, inspiring a love for books and storytelling. We have also been fortunate to have so many parents/carers visit the setting sharing stories and family traditions. Outdoors, the children have thoroughly enjoyed many activities such as planting, water play, and parachute games!
Sustainability Week has been a huge success this week, where the children have learned about the importance of looking after our environment. They took part in recycling activities, planting, and litter picking, developing an understanding of how small actions can make a big difference. Ask your child what they learned – you might be surprised by what they can tell you!
Just a reminder Day Care will remain open during the break, and Nursery School will reopen on Monday, 22nd April.

Nursery school
In Nursery school, we have been reading Jasper’s Beanstalk as our book for three weeks. As part of our learning, the children have enjoyed planting their own seeds, which they have brought home.

For home learning, we encourage you to help your child take care of their seed and observe its growth. Please share photos with us as it starts to sprout—we would love to see their progress!

Success Story of the Week!
This week, we proudly started our focus on sustainability, and the children have thoroughly enjoyed taking part in activities that help care for our environment. One of the highlights was litter picking in the garden, where they were excited to use the litter pickers to collect and tidy up rubbish. They showed great enthusiasm and teamwork, developing their awareness of looking after our outdoor space.
Through this activity, the children have been learning about the importance of keeping our surroundings clean, caring for nature, and taking responsibility for their environment. We will continue exploring sustainability through more hands-on activities in the coming weeks, helping the children build lifelong eco-friendly habits.
Thank you for your continued support in encouraging a love for nature and sustainability!
