Head of Schools Message
We were excited to learn and celebrate Chinese New Year 2025 with our nursery community! A huge thank you to one of our wonderful nursery parents who visited to read a story about Chinese New Year and share their family traditions with the children. It was a fantastic opportunity for the children to learn about this special celebration and explore their festive traditions. We wish all our families a Happy Chinese New Year!

This delightful story, filled with playful and diverse canine characters, captivates the children and enhances vocabulary and comprehension. We are looking at different dogs in Willow Room, can you please look for dogs on your journey and describe them with your child. If you have dogs at home please email us some pictures, we will be very grateful.
Nursery School

Nursery School will also continue with the story 'Lubna and Pebbles' - as children have gained an understanding of the story this week, they will begin to form ideas in relation to character and setting and think about how they could change aspects of the story.

Home learning: Have a go at birdwatching in the garden, park, or when out and about - count how many birds you see, identify the different birds and talk about their similarities and differences, draw pictures of birds. Look on the RSPB website for more information and ideas

PANTOSAURUS
In Nursery School, we have been looking at the PANTS rule and exploring the Pantosaurus book from the NSPCC. This book supports simple but valuable conversations with children that can help keep them safe. Developed with children, parents, carers and teachers, Talk PANTS helps children understand that their body belongs to them, and they should tell a safe adult they trust if anything makes them feel upset or worried.

Success Story of the Week!
We are excited to share our success of the week in the Acorn Room! The children delighted in exploring paint using various media such as cling film, foil paper, and more. This creative exploration not only sparked imagination but also developed their sensory and fine motor skills. The different textures and effects brought a new dimension to their artwork, inspiring curiosity and expression. We are proud of their colourful creations and the enthusiasm they showed in this artistic adventure.
