Head of Schools Message
Happy New Year! We are so excited to welcome you back to another wonderful year at Muriel Green! We are really pleased to welcome several new children and their families. We hope you had a wonderful and restful break. As we begin this new term, we’re looking forward to creating more opportunities for all the children to learn, grow, and explore. Exciting news! We are delighted to announce the recent appointment of several new staff members, as well as the promotion of some existing team members within our Day Care. A huge congratulations to our newly appointed and promoted staff - this is a fantastic opportunity for our team to grow and develop professionally. Our team has been hard at work preparing engaging activities and nurturing spaces to support your child’s development. We all attended an INSET day on Monday which involved statutory Safeguarding training for all staff, reviewing our Snack Time to make it even more valuable for the children and lots of collaborative discussions around high quality interactions. It was a really useful and informative day. See you all next week!

Success Story of the Week!
This week it has been lovely to see the excitement at this change of weather. We have seen the wonderment (and a little confusion!) in our younger children and we have heard other children using new words (such as frosty, freeze and melt) in response to the snow and frost. For some of our younger children this was the first time, in memory, that they have seen snow so our staff made the most of the learning opportunities! We are so glad that we invested in more wellies and waterproofs before Christmas; the children have been able to wear these to explore frosty footprints, observe ice melting and feel the texture of snow and ice. A few children even found a frosty cobweb! These hands-on experiences have both enhance their understanding of the world around them and contributed to their love of our amazing outdoor space.
Thank you for ensuring your children come to school well-prepared to make the most of this winter adventures!
