Head of Schools Message

We have had a wonderful week in Nursery and Day Care, with lots of exciting experiences for the children! Our Food of the Week initiative has been a great success so far this term. The children have enjoyed tasting a variety of foods at snack time, including grapefruit, sweet potato, carrots, and broccoli, in different ways. It has been fantastic to see their curiosity and enthusiasm as they explored new flavours and textures. Encouraging children to try new foods helps develop healthy eating habits and a sense of adventure with food.

We would also like to remind and encourage parents and carers to visit the Nursery to share stories, talk about their professions, or introduce special traditions from home. These experiences enrich our Early Years curriculum and help children learn about the world around them in a meaningful and engaging way. If you would like to visit, please let us know — we would love to have you!

Success Story of the Week!

This week in the Conker Room, we celebrated wonderful progress in colour recognition! The children have been enthusiastically exploring colours through a variety of engaging activities throughout the week, including sorting games, painting, and nature hunts.

It’s been fantastic to see their confidence grow as they correctly identified and named different colours. Thank you for your continued support in reinforcing these skills at home.

A great big cuddle.jpeg

We are excited to share that our school has a signed copy of The Great Big Cuddle by the renowned poet Michael Rosen! Michael is most famous for writing 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt' but has also written a number of other fabulous books. Our Executive Headteachers, Hayley and Gemma, had the privilege of meeting him at a conference.  Michael was delighted to hear about how much our children love his books, and we can’t wait to share this special signed book with the children.
